How We Work

How We Work

Relocating a pet is not just moving it from one place to another. It's understanding the family, the context of the trip, and what that particular animal needs.

That's why at Pet Cargo we work case by case, relying on over 10 years of experience and thousands of relocations completed. Learn more about us. Here's our process.

Initial contact

1. Initial Contact

It all starts with a consultation. You tell us where your pet is traveling from, where it needs to go, and the context of the relocation. You don't need to have everything figured out from the start. Many people arrive with doubts, fears, or incomplete information, and it's part of our job to help you organize the scenario.

Case evaluation

2. Case Evaluation

With the initial information, we analyze the trip as a whole: the destination, the conditions of the transfer, the type of pet, the available times. Based on that, we define what type of service is most appropriate and what aspects need to be considered before moving forward. Not all trips are resolved the same way, and saying so early avoids problems later.

Transport planning

3. Transport Planning

Once we've defined the path, we build the trip plan. This can include coordinating transportation, necessary documentation, timelines, and preparatory steps. For accompanied services, we organize every stage with the animal's wellbeing in mind and keeping the family informed at all times.

The Journey

4. The Journey

During the transfer, your pet is not "alone in the system". Depending on the service, there is real human presence, journey tracking, and real-time communication with the responsible person. Our focus is on accompanying, caring, and resolving whatever may arise along the way.

Arrival and reunion

5. Arrival & Reunion

When your pet arrives at the destination, we take care of the necessary steps to complete the process: reception, entry procedures if applicable, and coordination of final transport to their new home. The goal is for the reunion to be calm and for the family to feel supported from start to finish.

After the relocation

6. After the Relocation

Our work doesn't end when the trip is over. We continue to be available to resolve questions and support any inquiries that may arise afterward. Because we understand that each relocation is an important experience, not just a procedure.
